My Birthday was a Blast! I just wrapped up the final phases of my celebrations this weekend August 25th :). I think I have added more and more days to this holiday (my own declared holiday) with every passing year. I'm sure you are wondering what I did Right?
The day began with a bang! So naturally I was thankful to an (my) Amazing God for blessing me with another year of renewed freshness, vitality, and for positioning me in a state of well-being where I can flourish. I then spent the earlier part of my day in teacher seminars, training for the 2012 school year. But after that it was on! I surrounded myself with those I love most for the remainder of the day. We celebrated over dinner and dessert but couldn't stop there, after all what kind of birthday would it have been without a little dancing. We broke out "Dance Revolution" the hottest dance party around (giggle). While I danced on the pad my children danced next to me, with my youngest son landing a few front flips at the age of five. It was some wild partying going on over here. A couple of days later I was able to travel to the Iowa State fair for the first time. While there I saw Boy's To Men in concert, the infamous butter cow, and taste some fun foods (save that for another post). I wrapped up the festivities by taking part in the Women of Faith conference with musical guest Cece Winans :).
I love celebrating my birthday.
OK so to get to the good stuff, the winner of the birthday give away is (drum roll please):
