Why BWela?
Be - represents your current state of being, - your Now.
WELA - is an old English word derived from Weal or wealth- it’s a sound, healthy, or prosperous state: wellbeing.
As long as you live, I’m sure you desire to live well. A wellness focus brings a greater cohesiveness or working together to areas we view as unrelated. Keeping your life in balance takes great discipline and knowledge.
A well life can be defined by three entities that function as one.
· Body = who & what we are; what we do
· Mind = what we think & believe
· Spirit = who & what we become servant to
Although we may desire it there is no magic antidote to living life well, it is our individual discovery. One of the major keys to this discovery is recognition. Don‘t get me wrong there are guidelines to assist you to that point, but recognizing where you are, whose you are, and where you desire to be is the start.
A story was once told that always seem to point its readers to the importance of recognizing our current state.
“There was a loving father raising two sons. When the younger son came of age he asked his father if he could give him all that he would inherit if he were to die that day. The father was initially reluctant to the request, but finally came around. He realized that he had equipped his son with what he needed to live life well and he felt he would be ok, so he gave the younger son his portion of the wealth.
The next time we witness the son, he’s in another country working as a pig feeder, broke, and hungry. He blew all of his wealth and it was at the point of eating the pig’s food that he came to himself - HE RECOGNIZED where he was, of who he was, and where he desired to be”.
The father didn’t just give his son money, but the deed to his wealth - Wela = wellbeing.
· Have you come to recognize you have been given the responsibility of living your life well?
· Have you come to recognize that you were designed to live WELA - in a sound, healthy, and prosperous state?
· Have you come to recognize you were created in perfection?
· Have you come to recognize you were made in the image of the one and only God?
You were not created sick, over weight, in self pity, or as one who life is insignificant. So stop looking at yourself as if that’s who you are. It’s time! Come to yourself and recognize you don’t have to be in this position any longer. You get one life and one body if you don’t take care of it, who will?

Nice post! This Bwella post caused me to reflect back to when I was in my late teens. I was playing football and everything was tight! :-) I wonder how do you factor in this recognition when you age and your metabolism slow down. It seems like the responsibility of taking care of my body when I was younger is different now. I have to recognize everything that I eat now. Well, I do recognize it on the plate and then I eat it!
Hey little sis,
Great job, I am so proud of you for sharing your knowledge and spiritual guidance to health. I have been reflecting on my health and what I can do to change my life in order to stay healthy. Keep posting the good word.
Big sis,
DeeDee
Mrs. Nez!
This has come right on time! I have also been reflecting on my current status as a balanced, well, and healthy individual. There are some improvements that need to be made. Please continue to share as we find our individual balance of well-being.

This is Great. Very timely, and also needed. Larry and I have recently set new standards re: how we eat and exercise. This is something to definitely build on. The blog looks great and is easy to navigate thru. Thanks for sharing!

BWela - I love when I learn something new. Our health is more than just physical. Thanks for the knowledge. Now let me apply it and lose some weight. Can you reprogram by mind so I eat less and workout more???? Just asking:) Maybe if you keep filling my mind and spirit with knowledge, I will be transformed!
Thanks for sharing.
